Hanuman
- Bajrang Baan
The Bajrang Baan is an intense Awadhi prayer to Hanuman — an opening doha, thirty-four chaupais, and a closing doha — that devotees recite to call on Hanuman for swift help in times of serious trouble, fear, or obstruction.
- Sankatmochan Hanuman Ashtak
The Sankatmochan Hanuman Ashtak is an eight-stanza hymn with a closing doha, attributed to Goswami Tulsidas, that recalls the crises Hanuman resolved and ends every stanza with the refrain "Who in the world does not know you as Sankatmochan, the reliever of troubles?"
Surya Dev
- Aditya Hridaya Stotra
The Aditya Hridaya Stotra is a 31-verse hymn to the Sun god from the Yuddha Kanda of the Valmiki Ramayana, taught by the sage Agastya to Lord Rama before his final battle with Ravana.
Shiva
- Lingashtakam
Lingashtakam is an eight-verse Sanskrit hymn praising Lord Shiva in the form of the Shiva Linga, each verse ending with the refrain "tat pranamāmi sadāshiva-lingam", followed by a closing phalashruti verse.
- Shiv Tandav Stotram
The Shiv Tandav Stotram is a Sanskrit hymn describing Lord Shiva's fierce cosmic dance (tandava) and his form, traditionally attributed to Ravana, the king of Lanka; the commonly printed text has 15 verses plus 2 phalashruti verses.

The Ram Raksha Stotra is a 38-verse Sanskrit hymn of protection composed by the sage Budha Kaushika, in which the devotee asks the names of Lord Rama to guard every part of the body.
Vishnu
- Vishnu Sahasranamam
The Vishnu Sahasranamam is a Sanskrit hymn of the thousand names of Lord Vishnu, taught by Bhishma to Yudhishthira in the Anushasana Parva of the Mahabharata; devotees recite its 108 shlokas daily for peace, protection and devotion.
